The Rhode Island Department of Education has officially released its AI Guidance. Join Throughline Learning this fall for three 90-minute virtual sessions to review the guidance in a cohort of Northwest School Consortium district teams. Together we'll orient ourselves to the guidance, elevate exemplars, investigate how AI can build efficiencies at the leadership team level, and identify next steps, including:

• Co-designing a vision for using AI tools safely, intentionally, effectively, & efficiently
• Considering draft policy, stakeholder guidance, task force participation, & procurement criteria
• Reviewing processes & best practices for equitable student access to AI skills & resources

Session Dates & Times

• Session 1: Friday, October 31 from 9:00AM-10:30AM
• Session 2: TBD - will discuss best scheduling options at conclusion of Session 1 
• Session 3: TBD - will discuss best scheduling options at conclusion of Session 1 

All sessions will be facilitated virtually via Zoom. You and your registered team member(s) will receive calendar invites via Google Calendar with the Zoom links. We understand that conflicts may arise and all invitees may not be able to attend every session. Sessions will be recorded and shared with the participating consortium teams.

Payment

The total cost of this series is $3,000 and will be shared equally by the number of participating districts. 

• 2 districts: $1,500 per district
• 3 districts: $1,000 per district
• 4 districts: $750 per district
• 5 districts: $600 per district
• 6 or more districts: $500 per district

Registration will be open until the end of day October 27, at which time the final number of participating districts and the per-district price will be shared. Invoices will then be issued in electronic format on or before November 30, 2025.

We welcome participation from district Superintendents and their leadership teams; your registration includes up to 5 total team members. Please feel free to add the names, email addresses, and job titles of your team members below if applicable.
