Unpacking RIDE AI Guidance: 3-Part Series (Newport County Districts)
About
The Rhode Island Department of Education has officially released its AI Guidance. Join Throughline Learning this fall for three 90-minute virtual sessions to review the guidance in a cohort of Newport County school district teams. Together we'll unpack the guidance, elevate best practices, investigate how AI can build efficiencies at the district level, and identify next steps for your AI plans to:
- Ensure student data privacy
- Consider procurement criteria for aligned market tools
- Provide equitable access
- Empower educators to use AI tools safely, intentionally, effectively, & efficiently
- Improve student learning & growth
Session Dates & Times
- Session 1: Tuesday, September 30 from 2:00-3:30PM ET
- Session 2: Wednesday, October 29 from 10:30AM-12:00PM ET
- Session 3: Wednesday, November 19 from 8:30AM-10:00AM ET
All sessions will be facilitated virtually via Zoom. You and your registered team member(s) will receive calendar invites via Google Calendar with the Zoom links.
Payment
The total cost of this series is $3,000 and will be shared equally by the number of participating districts.
- 2 districts: $1,500 per district
- 3 districts: $1,000 per district
- 4 districts: $750 per district
- 5 districts: $600 per district
- 6 or more districts: $500 per district
Registration will be open until the end of day September 19, 2025, at which time the final number of participating districts and the per-district price will be shared. Due to the cost sharing model of this cohort, cancellation requests will be honored through September 23, 2025. Invoices will then be issued in electronic format on or before November 30, 2025.

We welcome participation from district teams, and your registration includes up to 5 total team members. Please feel free to add the names, email addresses, and job titles of your team members below if applicable.
